Simply One-derful
I love sewing for people I know. At the same time, it’s a little intimidating. What if they don’t like it? What if it doesn’t meet their standards?
I’m thrilled that two friends have asked me to create outfits for their respective daughters’ birthdays. It’s such an honor, being invited to have something I made be a part of their family histories. Plus it gives me a chance to play with something else I’ve been working on:
I know just what you mean. Seeing a pattern or having an idea pop into your head for a specific person…stitching it up…wrapping it…and worrying if it’s perfect enough to give OR will they even like it?
That’s one reason I love sewing for kids, they are so genuine.
Have fun, looks like you have some adorable ideas!!

OMG! That’s the cutest thing I’ve ever seen!!!!!!!
Fun, fun crown! I’m nervous about custom orders as well – I don’t think I’ll ever be over it!
I love the birthday crown! Would I look silly if I wanted one for my birthday, lol!
that is gorgeous!! I love it.
I’m the same when when asked to sew for someone special…I get so nervous that I might disappoint them…silly me!
Love the crown!!! How stinkin cute!
With friendship,
Lisa
Love! Love! Love!!
The new banner is gorgeous, BTW!
Yes I agree. Sewing for other people is intimidating and rewarding. It’s awesome to have someone ask for something specifically. That way you know it’s wanted.
Wow, I just ADORE that crown. Did you create the pattern? I’d love to make one for my daughter’s birthday next week.
Oh, I just love it! At what age are we “too old” to wear crowns exactly?
What are you talking about?! Your AMAZING!!! You have crazy great talent and create BEAUTIFUL treasures. I love the crown! That fabric is one of my all time favorites!
